SPR.MKRT III

Brought my bf and incredible to this cozy food outlet to try out the heartily delicious Seafood Sq Ink Linguine. Again ?! Well, the foods there are really really nice.  Not cheap, but worthwhile.  I ordered the Classic Ham & Cheese Mushroom Sandwich for myself.  Wow! Yummy as hell.

Everyone says good good eat ya !!!

Fifty Shades of G.R.E.Y

I won't need to go into the story, as I guess either you have read the book or get hints from the recent most talk-about news on the casts for the movie adaptation which will be released in February 2015. Else, go to wikipedia for details.

Here are some extracts from the book that may make you clench your hands or legs :

BDSM (Bondage and Discipline, Sadism and Masochism) From Wikipedia
BDSM is a variety of erotic practices involving dominance and submission, role-playing, restraint, and other interpersonal dynamics. Unlike the usual "power neutral" relationships and play styles commonly followed by couples, activities and relationships within a BDSM context are often characterized by the participants' taking on complementary, but unequal roles; thus, the idea of informed consent of both the partners becomes essential. Participants who exert sexual control over their partners are known as Dominants or tops while participants who take the passive, receiving, or obedient role are known as submissives or bottoms. Individuals are also sometimes abbreviated when referred to in writing, so a Dominant person may be referred to as a Dom for a man, and a Domme for a woman. Dom/Dommes are always referred to in Upper case when written about, subs in lower. Individuals who alternate between top/Dominant and bottom/submissive roles – whether from relationship to relationship or within a given relationship – are known as switches, though the term is occasionally seen as derogatory and is rejected by many who might simplistically fit the definition. Precise definition of roles and self-identification is a common subject of debate, reflection, and discussion within the community.

Along Bencoolen Street .....

There is a Gundam specialized shop, Hobby Art Gallery at Sunshine Plaza.  My incredible has been pestering me for a while to bring him there.  Today is the day.  He finally found his most wanted model making tools.  As for me,  I know what to buy for him this coming birthday ..... the MG Gundam Banshee Titanium Finish. Shhh !!!

We're starving and searching for dinner afterwards.  Saw quite a lot of people eating at this Fried Wanton noodle house.  One look at the sauce,  I decisively believed that it must be good, thus I ordered a large plate for each of us. Wow! The noodle was QQ and springy.  With the dark soya sauce, it tasted wonder.  The char siew was flavourful.  The fried wanton, though I wish more meat was wrapped in it,  they were crispy and additive.  And I added more than two spoonfuls of green chillies too ...... somehow they blended together deliciously. I must be hungry ya ?!!!

With two satisfied stomachs, we ventured a bit more of the plaza.  Found few interesting stores.  A pity that most shops were closed by 7:00 pm.

Thirtysix stocks all kind of lomo cameras that I'm drooling over.  Holy moly !
Found two tattoo parlors too. Skinlabeltattoo was one with an attractive signage.

SPACE, the luxury furniture hub just next to the plaza, is now having its year-end sale from 11 November till 22 December.  Better go grab something affordable before it is over.

Our last stop before hitting Plaza Singapore for movie was National Museum of Singapore.  As part of celebrating the opening of 50 years of TV: Experience The Magic, Singapore actor Desmond Tan [陈泂江] was performing at the outdoor lawn tonight.

The wormhole at night.

Went there again last night.  The foods are simply yummy.  Everyday comes with different menu, so you won't feel boring with the choice.

Tried the Banana Nectar.  Full of banana and sweet.  I will have the ginger beer next ^^
I am wondering where can I get to try Banana beer in Singapore ?

SPR.MKRT

Late lunch for me today.

As quite a number of food stores are not serving food after 3 pm plus,  I have walked all the way towards Amoy Market hoping to find something tempting and ended up at this cosy food outlet at McCallum Street called SPR.MKRT.

The coffee is really something ...... strong and aromatic.  Good! Boost me up.
I have the seafood Sq Ink linguine and enjoy it. Feel like staying for a longer while ...... well, what to do, got works to finish.

Bum-fuzzle

Bought this from starbucks. An indie music CD by local artist Inch Chua.   The songs, a mixture of acoustic folk and alternative rock with electronic & jazz influence,  may not suit everyone's taste, her vocal is sweet and light.  Plus, the cover illustration by Malisa Suchanya is beautiful.

POP-by station

I truly appreciate that Singpost has implemented this fully auto locker-like system, which is more convenient for us to collect our parcels if we missed the delivery and do not need to worry about the closing time.  I can just pop by (as the name suggested) anytime after work, even on Sunday, as long as within the next 5 calender days from the date of the advice.

Getting better each day

Antique Singer Sewing Machine

Gotta sell it off.  No space to accommodate this sewing machine at my new flat.  Everything is fine, except the front panel is missing. Haizz.

Sold it through ebay.  Not a pleasant experience thou.  I'd put $50 as a starting bid and $55, a mere $5 more, for the buy-it-now.  Before bidding, this buyer sent me an email asking if I could sell him at $50.  I ignored it.  Soon enough, I received the acknowledgement from ebay that the sewing machine was sold successfully - at the buy-it-now price, of course.  Apparently was the same fellow.  He still dare to send me sms asking if I could sell it at $50 and I said no, the price was very reasonable and the deal was final.  A rough check online one could tell that market price for a similar item was ranging from $100 to $200.  I did not wish to waste valuable time on such petty negotiation.  Take it or leave it, but surely with a negative feedback on his account from me.  Anyway,  He did come and collect it on a Wed night.  I was not at home and thus, I let my parents handled it.  And guess what ?!, this motherfucker still asked the same old question ..... Oh Mind !  My dad simply told him not a cent less, then sat down, had his coffee and totally ignored him.  Eventually, he paid the amount and carried the machine with the help of his maid.  See the picture !  Someone who can hire a maid is so unbelievably cheapskate !!!  If not of the seller's liability on ebay, I won't want to sell him at all.

Seeing Greys

I am on this right now.  Slow...... progressively...... but at least is moving forward.  Been out of shape recently, tons of things to do and stay focus.

Dad's been warded at Changi Hospital since last Sat with serious lung infection.  Critical, in High Dependency Unit, and put on BIPAP - A so called non-invasive ventilation system which deliver high flow oxygen and support through a very tight, uncomfortable fitting mask.  He's been starving for few days - no food, only water, not even milk.  My heart hurts to look at him. It is a huge blessing that he manages to pull through, and feeling much better today.  At least he can take off the oxygen mask for 30 mins in every 4 hours interval to have 2 slices of bread, porridge and milo.

Have confirmed my 4-room HDB flat, pending 1st appointment, and soon (most probably mid Jan 2014, barely two weeks shy of CNY) will need to pack and move in to this new place. Another set of hectic chores to endure.

I am seeing greys.  More than 50 shades, may be.

What's next ?
No one knows for sure.  Only thing is to get ready for the unforeseen.

Good or bad, life goes on.

Wormhole

Wormhole - A bamboo installation at NMS by Indonesia artist, Eko Prawoto as part of Singapore Biennale 2013 exhibition.  These bamboo structures resemble a range of mountains meeting the sky.
