Unlike Washington DC, to find an escalator or elevator at most Subway stations in New York is extremely hard, if not near impossible, making it a real challenge to travel with luggages. We have used quite a bit of our milk-power to lug the heavy suitcase upstairs and downstairs. Sweat!
Hopefully my suitcase can withstand the rough handling.
