Brought the book last week at Changi Airport on my way to KL.
Falling in Love, the 24th instalment in Donna Leon’s long-running series of detective novels featuring Commissario Guido Brunetti which is quiet popular and I fail to understand, is an insipid tale of an opera diva and her violence-prone wierdo-stalker. With much effort, I kept reading until the end hoping something at least mildly interesting would happen. No such luck. Instead, the painfully slow-moving action is further retarded by far too many meaningless verbiage and pretentious Italiano.
Simply to feel the gap between my late dinner and sleep from 11pm till 2am the past few nights.
