Good Morning There

#Antoinette

After collection of passport at ICA building, we ventured around the neighbourhood and found our way to this lavish-looking restaurant at Penhas Road for lunch.
This cute ducky was floating on the Yuzu Green Bubble Bath drink my boy ordered.  Kawaii! Of course, I get to take it home.

Lola's Cafe

Dinner at this cozy cafe located at Simon Road, very near my old nest and just a few minutes' walk from Kovan MRT.

Right : Tasty Truffle Mushroom Cream Linguine

Left : Spicy Chicken Aglio Olio   |    Right : Truffle Fries

Top : Salted Caramel Popcorn Cake
Bottom : Lemon Meringue Tart
(Love the spongy marshmallow-like cream)

The week of SG Bday

Cute piglet salted yolk custard buns (Liu Sha Bao) @Canton Paradise

Me and my boy celebrated Singapore Birthday with the famed Ponggol Nasi Lemak
as supper after his duty at the NDP.
This cat is waiting to be caressed at her usual spot😍

The Story of My Life

This is the mysterious book given by National Library after signing up on the app during SG Coffee Festival last weekend.

Get a glimpse of the life of a few Singaporeans decades ago.

Cafe Lover's Guide

Field Ration Nowadays

Tried this one and only pack of field ration last night.

Honestly, the no-need-to-reheat Makhani Bean Stew (Chicken) tasted fine.  The fruity energy bar was pretty chewy and nice too.

Thumb up.

Sat Evening

A short walk around the neighbourhood area .....

Steaming summer heat,
alluring shadow,
infrequent light wind,
passing cars are the only noise that disturbs the moment tranquillity.

Coffee Festival 2017

Good morning.

Woke up early at 8am yesterday because of Singapore Coffee Festival at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Each of us get a free book from the library after signing up
through the mobile app
Coffee in the cone .... bitter sweet affair
Salted egg puff ..... yummy and sinful to the core
This $10 coffee pork chop bun is crispy and tasty.  Definitely worth queueing.
We enjoyed the few interesting talks organised by ST (not related to coffee though)
It is a coffee festival.  And yet we ended up with more books and zines.
