On Reading

My recent read is The Bookseller of Kabul, a non-fiction book written by Norwegian journalist Åsne Seierstad, about a bookseller, Shah Muhammad Rais (aka Sultan Khan), and his family in Kabul, Afghanistan. Not so much on the book trade itself, the book is more on the daily issues the characters face. Besides giving the historical account of events in Afghanistan, she also focuses on the conditions of Afghan women who still live very much under the domination of men, which sucks. Anyway, I still got one-third to go.

I've bought 2 new books from Popular few days ago. They are :

Title : Raffles Place Ragtime
Author : Philip Jeyaretnam
Imprint : Marshall Cavendish Business
Publication Date : Apr 2010

Title : Hector and the Search for Happiness
Author : Francois Lelord
Imprint : Penguin (Non-Classics)
Publication Date : August 2010

Will start the first book pretty soon.
