Discovery Cambodia Part III : Phnom Penh City Tour


Places covered : Choeung Ek Memorial, Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, Independence Monument, National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and Wat Phnom.

Choeung Ek Memorial aka the killing field, is the site of the brutal executions of more than 17,000 men, women and children, most of whom had suffered thru interrogation, tortune and deprivation in the S-21 Prison.








Previously a high school, Toul Sleng was converted into S-21 prison & interrogation facility when the Khmer Rouge came to power in 1975. Inmates held in the compound were systematically tortuned, and brutally executed at the killing field.
