Family Day Again!!!

#sorrynowifi #pleasetalktoeachother But my boy immediately responded: I got data what. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… moral of story : #youcantarguewithfacts

A family dinner at Five & 2 to
celebrate our mum's birthday.

The green curry (Gaeng Kiaw Wan) and Bulgogi Korean beef stew were fine, though the portions were a little small.  The pregnant fish was good.  Pity that the multi-grain rice was hard and dry. It definitely can be better.

Will come another day to try the Sarawak Chicken Curry as recommended.

Enjoyed a stroll after dinner around the park.

Family Day Cum Pre-NDP Celebration

#nsmen #familyday #behindthescene #prendp2018 #rehearsal #wearesingapore

The invitation to this pre-NDP rehearsal was kind of a surprise. So I thought I was only attending the family day event of NS men like last year. Oh! Me blur like sotong.

This iconic dragon playground of Toa Payoh is one of the prop. Though not yet ready for the rehearsal.

This is the pelican playground at Dover Road.
What a nice weather to take a nap.

These are prepared for 21 gun artillery salute during NDP.
From 2 to 4 pm, besides getting a closer look of the vehicles and equipments used for NDP,  light refreshments and drinks were offered to all.  Of course, we won't miss the chance to take a candid shot at the instant print photo booth.

While waiting for the shuttle bus to fetch us to the floating platform, I took the opportunity to venture around the area as well. It's a nice place for a stroll.

At the floating platform .....

The performance was surely the highlight here. But I didn't want to ignore the hard work of the sky. It gave its own way of support to the celebration with lovely formation of the clouds.  And no rain despite the black clouds looming around earlier.
Do you see the mighty giant pushing the blacky away?

Lastly, the fireworks.

Souvenirs from Bangkok

They are lovely, aren't they?

I've bought a number of books as well. What else.
