OneDrive Problem

Don’t know if I should call it lucky or unlucky.
Encountered problem in uploading files to my 1TB OneDrive Personal AC on 19 Jul with red alert indicating that 69.7GB over limit of 5GB. Halo .... My usage was not even 10% of the storage space I subscribed.
After few emails with Microsoft Support, here were the situations :
1) The site indicated that I’d cancelled the subscription on 1 Jul which I never did. Who get the right to cancel it besides myself? I couldn’t renew it as well following the advise of the support staff.
2) My monthly billing through Apple Store was still in place. My latest bill was on 1 Jul with auto renewal on 28 Jul. Thus I couldn’t do any suggested renewal on my iPhone too.
3) My previous upload was on 13 Jul. No such problem at that time.
Yet they couldn’t rectify what’s going but asked me to go and contact Apple Support since the subscription was billed through them. What? It was obviously not simply billing issue here.
Fine. After having a good chat with the Apple Support staff, the only thing he could help was to cancel my existing subscription and do a refund, if any. As he put it, developers are responsible for the issue and I do agree.
In the end, I cancelled it from Apple Store and bought a new yearly subscription directly through Microsoft ..... now 1TB OneDrive Home ac. Definitely an upgrade with similar price and I can share it with 4 more family members, with 1TB storage each member.
Though I still want to know what’s going on. Waiting for Microsoft Support’s reply.
Very irritating especially one need to backup and transfer big files in a hurry.

As at 27 July 2018, instead of answering my question, the staff asked me to contact their billing dept.  Gosh!
