Tiong Bahru Exploration #2 - BooksActually

From Telok Ayer Street to Ann Siang Hill to Club Street and now taking root at Yong Siak Street @ Tiong Bahru, I have been following this lovely indie bookstore since year 2007. I still remember their debut exhibition Wunderkammer in 2009, held at its sister store Polymath & Crust, which was then merged together and became one.

As one should know, running a bookstore in nowadays digital world and with ridiculously souring rental in Singapore is super tough, if not crazy. I really salute Kenny and Karen's passion and persistent to keep it going throughout the years. Go here for the history of BooksActually, if interested.

NOSTALGIA:AN EXHIBIT
Set in 1997, ILO ILO captures the essense of 90s Singapore through its prop box, a collection of treasured objects and nostalgic items from the Singapore we remember.

My mum is doing exactly the same.  She has collected all the 4D results and pasted them in those unused diary/journal books given by insurance companies for god knows how many years. ~_~!!!
