Another beautiful photobook of Kawauchi designed by Hans Gremmen. The latest book is Halo which I've bought at Singapore Art Book Fair in July. The dustcover can be open up to a huge poster with positive image on front and inverted (negative) image behind. The other interesting design is that the book is bound in a variation of the Japanese binding- the upper sides of the pages are closed and the bottoms open, which generates a space between the actual pages that can only be seen by lifting the pages bottom corners up. In this hidden space, the images are the inverted version from the outer surface.
